Still significant damage visible in this area from the Feb 2023 earthquake. This is from the town of Adıyaman.
Harran
Harran Castle. Built on a much earlier temple or mosque.
Beehive houses have been built in this area since Mesopotamian times. This is one house with multiple rooms. The guide in this Centre lived in this house as a child.
Mount Nemrut
This burial mound (tumulous) has not been excavated as the loose rock would be very unstable.
