Hotel in Seville. This turned out to be my view of the world for a couple of days.

The old city

Remnant of the city walls and part of the earlier Roman viaduct.

The bell tower of the gothic Seville Cathedral. This was converted from the minaret from the previous mosque. Other features of the earlier mosque were also re-purposed.

Did I mention "gothic".

The full list of sailors who made it back to Seville from the Magellan expedition. The sole surviving ship was the Victoria.

Christopher Columbus. As was his tradition, his remains were moved around a lot. They have established by DNA testing that the bits here are legitimate.

This is the end of that row. This is now a chapel but retains the islamic influence. Not always true in this building.
