Sortof where the census map recorded House 1, Cush. 53°13'36.3"N 7°54'52.6"W
A little west where a farmer said were some houses. (The census only noted one house).
A bit further where the farmer says there is an old right of way, ie implying a house existed here.
Several cottages here. This one is fully furnished! The current landlord grew up in this cottage.
A small walk in the Burren National Park goes through dense vegetation.

Mining peat on an industrial scale is only recent. When Gran was growing up near here the bog would have been as high as the pole.
